Seddon Sings

A recently unearthed Seddon tape. Captain Maurice Seddon (Royal Signals, retired [deceased]), in telephonic conversation with his friend Anna Stubbs. They discuss solicitors, pumpernickel with chutney and then Maurice sings briefly prompting Anna to launch into “I could have danced all night”. This is the only known recording of Maurice singing. During the conversation, Anna chastises Maurice for his untidiness and the rubbish in his garden. Maurice defensively describes his activities as ‘squirrelling’. They end on a sombre note with Anna talking about health issues and sliding towards a grave. There will be a few more Seddon tapes forthcoming which might result in a sequel to The Seddon Tapes Volume 1 issued on vinyl by paradigm discs. The programme ends with two tracks from Traité de Mécanique Populaire, and Trait et Autres Traits from Rincures by M. Bulteau.
