Slow Trains
Actually, some not so slow. Haunting whistles and hissing steam locomotives from two 1960 Argo albums: Sunday Only and Whistling Through Dixie, conjoined with Departure and Journey by Herbert Distel from the CD Travelogue. Shuttled into sidings by three tracks all titled “Slow Train”. The first by Flanders and Swann; a nostalgic catalogue of stations closed by Beeching in the 1960s (the second station named being Kirby Muxloe where I once lived). The second slow train by Charles Hayward from (begin anywhere) and the third by Bob Dylan; a snatch from live at San Francisco 1979 and then a rehearsal with horns.
